Every time a visitor sends an enquiry through one of your listing pages, the listing owner must pay to unlock the sender's contact details — name, email, phone, and any custom fields you've added to the form. You set the price per membership tier, Stripe handles the transaction, and the money goes straight to your account.

Paid Leads works hand-in-hand with Custom Forms. You build the form with the visual form builder — choosing which fields to collect and which ones stay hidden behind the paywall — then drop it onto any listing page. The form builder handles the experience; Paid Leads handles the monetization.

How Pricing Works

Paid Leads pricing is configured at the membership tier level. Here's how you set it up:

Fixed Price Per Lead

Set a flat fee that listing owners pay every time they want to see who contacted them. $5, $10, $25 — whatever your market will bear. This is the simplest model: predictable for you, clear for owners, and easy to set up in seconds.

Best for: Local service directories, job boards, B2B marketplaces where every lead has roughly equal value.

Tier-Based Pricing

Each membership tier gets its own lead price. You might charge free-tier owners $10 per lead, Pro members $5, and give Premium members unlimited free unlocks. This gives you fine-grained control over who pays what — and turns lead access into a powerful membership upsell.

Best for: Directories with multiple membership tiers looking to reward higher-tier members while still monetizing free-tier activity.

Bundled Into Memberships

Set a tier's lead price to zero and lead access becomes part of that membership. It's your choice: you decide which tiers get free unlocks, which pay per lead, and how that shapes your membership value proposition.

Best for: Directories with established membership tiers looking to add value (and conversion power) to their premium plans.

The Lead Lifecycle

1. Visitor submits an enquiry — They fill out your custom form on a listing page. The message and hidden contact details are stored.
2. Listing owner is notified — They see a preview of the message (without the sender's identity) and the price to unlock it.
3. Owner pays to unlock — Stripe processes the payment. The sender's contact details — name, email, phone, and custom fields — are revealed.
4. You earn — The payment lands in your Stripe account. MakeADir takes no platform fee.
