Today — June 10, 2026 — marks the launch of MakeADir v2.0, our biggest update yet. We've rebuilt core systems, supercharged the AI, and laid the groundwork for the next era of no-code directory building. Every change in this release comes directly from your feedback, and we're excited to share what's new.

Page Builder: Every Page, Under Your Control

The page builder now extends far beyond your listing pages. You can now design and customize every system page in your directory:

• Login & Signup — match your brand from the very first interaction
• Password Reset — consistent experience even during account recovery
• Email Verification — a polished flow that keeps users confident
• User Listings Page — let your members manage their submissions in a space that feels like yours

We've also introduced dynamic tokens to make your pages smarter. Use @Listing Name, @Listing Categories, @Post Title, and more to automatically populate content where it matters. One template, infinite possibilities.

AI That Works the Way You Do

We've completely reimagined the AI experience inside MakeADir. The new chat panel gives you a full conversation interface with message history — no more one-shot prompts. You can see exactly what changed with visible tool call history, giving you confidence in every AI action.

Website imports got a major intelligence boost too. The AI now fetches multiple pages from a target website automatically, filling in far more data points than before. What used to take manual research now happens in seconds.

New AI Models

We've added four powerful new models to the platform:

• DeepSeek 4 Pro
• Gemini 3.5 Flash
• Sonnet 4.8
• GPT 5 Mini

Each model is charged per request so you always know what to expect. Pricing is displayed directly on the model selection screen in AI Settings — no surprises, just predictable costs tailored to your workflow.

Billing & Account Management, Rebuilt

We've introduced a dedicated Billing page accessible right from your user menu. Inside, you'll find:

• Plan comparison — see exactly what each tier offers side by side
• Upgrade paths — move to the plan that fits your growth
• Invoice history — accessible anytime via the Polar user portal

We've also refined how we measure usage. The old "Listings" limit is now a "Content entries" limit — covering listings, categories, custom attributes, and everything else you build. The actual allowances remain generous across all plans, so no existing customer will feel the change.

What's Ahead

We made the decision to temporarily remove ads while we rebuild the feature into something better. It'll return stronger, smarter, and more useful for monetization. No half-measures.

And here's what we're most excited about: paid user groups are coming. Directory owners will soon be able to introduce memberships and collect payments directly on the platform. Combined with the visibility controls already in place — where you can show or hide listings based on user groups — this unlocks a real revenue stream for your directory. It's the next major milestone on our roadmap, and development is underway.
